Meet Emely Hernandez, CEO/President the visionary founder of Prestige Beauty School. With over ten years of hands-on experience in the bustling salons of New York City, Emely later chose Indianapolis, Indiana, as the place to settle with her family and build a new chapter in her career. She brings unmatched expertise, creativity, and passion to the beauty industry.
Born and raised in Honduras, Emely moved to the United States at a young age and was drawn to the beauty industry from the very beginning. She built her career from the ground up, earning a reputation for excellence, artistry, and mentorship. Her dedication to empowering others and uplifting her Latino community inspired her to create something bold and impactful.
In 2017, recognizing the need for quality, inclusive cosmetology education in Indiana, Emely founded Prestige Beauty School. As a passionate instructor, she lives and breathes education, it is not just her career; it is her calling. Every day in the classroom and on the salon, floor is an opportunity to inspire, teach, and transform. Emely takes pride in shaping future beauty professionals, helping them build the confidence and skills to turn their dreams into reality. She blends artistry with purpose, sharing her knowledge of technique, creativity, and professionalism while encouraging each student to discover their unique style. Watching her students grow—from their first hesitant haircut to confident mastery of their craft—fills her with pride and purpose.

Our Mission
Prestige Beauty School provides each student with exceptional learning experience that encourages personal growth, inspires professional success and creates a legendary salon or spa experience for every guest, every time. Prestige Beauty School prepares graduates for licensure, entry level employment and a successful career in the cosmetology industry or a related field.
This mission is accomplished by assessing the following:
- Student achievement and performance as reflected in the school’s completion, licensure, and employment rates and periodic surveys of students, graduates, and employers of graduates.
- A professional teaching staff dedicated to providing exceptional learning experience.
- Organization and administration are appropriate to the educational programs offered.
- Supportive services including academic advice and employment assistance.
- Courses that prepare graduates for licensing examinations and employment.
- Professional instructional and student salon and spa facilities and equipment.
The goals, objectives, educational programs and support services are assessed systematically by:
- Student evaluations of staff, programs and facilities
- Surveys of graduates, employers of graduates and an Advisory Council of industry representatives.
- Review of graduate retention, licensure and employment rates.
- Regularly scheduled staff meetings and evaluations regarding the school’s objectives.
- Completion of an Institutional Self Study for the school.
The information obtained is used to improve the institution’s activities, educational programs, student support services, and any other area that needs improvement.
